Apply for an internship with the Riga Performance Art Festival Starptelpa 2026!

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals with an interest in performance art, international festival curatorial practice, and cultural management to contribute to the organisation of the Riga Performance Art Festival “Starptelpa.”

This year, the festival will take place from 25 to 31 May at various venues across Riga. There is an opportunity to join the festival team both during the event itself and in the preparatory phase throughout April and May. The internship may be undertaken as part of a university placement or on a voluntary basis, with its duration and scope tailored to the intern’s availability and interests.

Possible areas of involvement (adaptable according to the intern’s skills and preferences):

  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to both practical and conceptual discussions;

  • Supporting the communications specialist, including social media work;

  • Creating communications content (such as festival diaries and video materials);

  • Welcoming and assisting international guests;

  • Supporting the producer during the festival preparation process;

  • Providing technical assistance during performances.
