Join the Volunteer Team of the Riga Performance Festival “Starptelpa”

The Riga Performance Art Festival “Starptelpa”, taking place from 25 to 31 May at various venues across Riga, invites you to join its volunteer team. Volunteers will support the festival’s activities – from welcoming guests and providing information to assisting with performances and other events.

By becoming a volunteer, you will gain:

• knowledge of performance art and its production;

• diverse, hands-on experience in organising a large-scale art event;

• the opportunity to meet both international and local arts professionals;

• free access to all events in the festival programme;

• lunch, as well as tea and coffee during the festival week;

• the possibility of continuing to work with the festival team long-term, subject to successful collaboration.

Volunteer duties during the festival will include:

• assisting the festival team;

• providing technical support during performances (setting up and clearing props; offering individual assistance to artists during the preparation process, etc.);

• optional involvement in creating social media content (for example, festival diaries, photo and video documentation, etc.);

• supervising festival venues and checking tickets.
