Open Call - Riga Performance Festival Starptelpa 2026

Open Call - Riga Performance Festival Starptelpa 2026
Theme: Sonic Vibrations
Application deadline: 31 December 2025

Starptelpa 2026 invites performance artists, sound artists, and interdisciplinary practitioners to take part in the upcoming edition of the Riga Performance Festival.

The festival’s 2026 theme, Sonic Vibrations, explores sound as a living force that connects bodies, histories, and futures. In this edition, sound is understood not only as an audible phenomenon but as a performative, embodied vibration — an act of remembering, resonating, and transforming.

Performances will be presented in St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in Riga — a unique site where architecture, acoustics, and atmosphere invite deep dialogue between body and space. The church’s resonant qualities encourage explorations of voice, silence, echo, and rhythm.

We invite proposals that engage with the sonic, the spatial, and the political dimensions of vibration — works that respond to the festival’s conceptual framework or reinterpret it through new artistic languages.

Deadline for applications: 31 December 2025
Festival dates: 25-31 May 2026
Location: St. Saviour’s Anglican Church, Riga, Latvia
